GAME REVIEW: Mad World (TriAdagio)

Mad World” is a game I can recommend to my other friends. It is a game which you have to think of a strategy to overcome your opponent.  At first, I’ll admit that it’s hard for me to understand how it works. But I realized it’s easy after playing the game. They used great game mechanics such as hidden worker placement and action-point allowance.

They used hidden worker placement to their game. I think it’s really wise, this mechanic has a twist. You’re opponent can’t guess what cards you placed on that specific tile. Making decision on what kind of cards you’ll place so that they can’t come to your property. Plus, it adds thrill to the game.

Action-point allowance, it’s fair enough for both sides I think. I have no any other comments or suggestion on that other mechanic. Anyways, looking at their game components, they actually did a great job. Their board seems to have that battle between two sides; like you’re really in wonderland. The cards are also amazing, mostly the special cards.

Another thing that I like on this game is the special cards. You have to think of the best timing when to use your card. There are cards which functions as you can steal a card your opponent has, reviving your card which was defeated before and etc. I like most is the MAD HATTER card. It blows up when your opponent attacks it, but it’s for one time use only.

I can’t think of any suggestions on this game because I’m satisfied with it. Since this is still a prototype when I played it, I bet the final product will look awesome. I’m really looking forward for the final product guys. Surprise us if you’ll still add some details and stuffs on it. Great job! Good starting point.
